Contraptions is a physics-based puzzle game with a fun cartoon look.
This game takes three games: Contraptions, Contraptions 2, and Contraptions 3 and combines them into one fun creative game pack.
At each level, there are several objects and monsters. The goal is to clear the level of monsters. This can be achieved in different ways.
The objects are affected by the laws of physics and play a key role in solving the puzzle. The objects form a "machine" that is placed in such a way that it creates a chain reaction that will clear all the monsters.
The catch is that the machine is broken—some objects are not in the right place. Your goal is to fix the machine.
You do this by repositioning, flipping, or connecting the different objects. When the level starts, "time is frozen," gravity does not affect the objects, and all machines or gadgets do not work.
During this time, you can move things, connect things, flip things to make the chain reaction work.
Once you’re done, you start things moving (thaw time) by pressing the Play button and watch things unfold.
If you’ve done everything correctly, the chain reaction will clear all the monsters and you’ll move on to the next level. If your solution isn’t correct, you can pause the machine and try again with the objects.
Some gadgets are activated by turning them on, others by touching, pushing, or pulling them. Some gadgets work alone, while others need to be connected to work.
For example, for the conveyor belt to turn, it must be connected to an active motor using a belt. Similarly, for the laser gun to fire a laser, the trigger must be linked to a rope, to a moving object like a car.
To clear the levels of monsters! The easiest way is to push the monster off the edge of a platform and make it fall off the screen.
You can cut the rope holding a heavy object that will crush the monster, pull a rope connected to a laser gun, turn on a rocket’s motor with a lighter in which the monster is inside, and so on.
The solution is achieved through Rube Goldberg-style chain reactions. The further you progress in the game, the more complex the new puzzles become.
