Mankind Divided takes place immediately after the "Aug Incident," the day when citizens around the world who had undergone mechanical augmentations lost control of their minds and bodies, resulting in the death of millions of innocents.

We are now in 2029, and the golden age of augmentations is over. Mechanically augmented humans are considered outcasts and isolated from the rest of society.

Crimes and terrorist acts serve to conceal a global conspiracy aimed at controlling the future of humanity.
