F.3.A.R. is a first-person shooter in a chaotic universe unique to the series. The main campaign allows the player to embody Point Man while the cooperative mode will allow the second player to embody Paxton Fettel.
The survival-horror universe of the series is well and truly preserved and the action scenes of the game are punctuated by the specific characteristics of each character, such as the power of teleportation of Paxton Fettel, or the superhuman speed of Point Man.
