The Heavy Metal magazine is back!
Heavier than ever! This new launch brings the world's greatest illustrated magazine back to the forefront of the comic scene.
Enki Bilal, one of the original legends of the magazine, returns with the English adaptation of his famous series BUG. Michael Conrad (Hello Darkness, In Bloom) will team up with Greek comic legend Ilias Kyriazis (Collapser, What We Wished For) for a brand new series titled Millstone.
The extravagant Burton & Cyb returns with "Poor Monsters" by Antonio Segura and José Ortiz, as well as Vicente Segrelles' classic, The Mercenary. The English debut of Sixella, the cult science fiction heroine by Janevsky. Valentina, the classic character by Guido Crepax, returns by author and artist Sergio Gerasi.
Heavy Metal will harness the power of its many characters, starting with the ultimate taarakian warrior, Taarna! The author duo Leah Moore and John Reppion will write Taarna's adventures, accompanied by the artwork of Anna Morozova.
The work also includes one-shots of: Cold Dead War (B-17) by Craig Wilson, Grimaldi by Keron Grant, and Legends of Taarna by Joseph Michael Linsner. Fernando Dagnino signs a new cyberpunk short film: Lester, That Old Feeling. The classics The Bus by Paul Kirchner and June 2050 by John Workman are back.
Visionary creators David Quinn and Tim Vigil sign Transcendestiny. Writer and artist Dwayne Harris brings us the fantasy tale They Dug Too Deep. Jim Rugg showcases the UFO from Kecksburg and Jon Wayshak writes and draws a horror short film titled Cobot. Plus interviews, The File, prose novels, and more!
