The magazine Heavy Metal is back!
Heavier than ever! This new release brings the world’s largest illustrated magazine back to the forefront of the comic art scene.
Enki Bilal, one of the original legends of the magazine, returns with the English adaptation of his famous series BUG. Michael Conrad (Hello Darkness, In Bloom) teams up with the Greek comic legend Ilias Kyriazis (Collapser, What We Wished For) for a brand new series titled Millstone.
The extravagant Burton & Cyb return with “Poor Monsters” by Antonio Segura and José Ortiz, as well as the classic by Vicente Segrelles, The Mercenary. The English debut of Sixella, the cult science-fiction heroine by Janevsky. Valentina, the classic character by Guido Crepax, returns through the author and illustrator Sergio Gerasi.
Heavy Metal will harness the power of its many characters, starting with the ultimate Taarakian warrior, Taarna! The writing duo Leah Moore and John Reppion will tell Taarna’s adventures, accompanied by the drawings of Anna Morozova.
The volume also includes one-shots of: Cold Dead War (B-17) by Craig Wilson, Grimaldi by Keron Grant, and Legends of Taarna by Joseph Michael Linsner.
Fernando Dagnino signs a new cyberpunk short story: Lester, That Old Feeling. The classics The Bus by Paul Kirchner and June 2050 by John Workman return.
