M.U.L.E.

MULE. (for Multiple Use Labor Element) is a video game written in 1983 by Dan Bunten, Bill Bunten, Jim Rushing and Alan Watson for Ozark Softscape Studios, and published by Electronic Arts. Originally designed for the Atari 400/800, it was ported to the Commodore 64 and Nintendo NES.

Much more than a game, it's an economic simulator, the goal of which is to colonize a small planet, by playing on the production, supply and demand of its resources.
