In Merchants of the Dark Road, you play as one of these rare intrepid merchants who traverse the dangerous roads between towns. Though the task is risky, glory and fortune await you.
Discover the capital, where most of your adventure will take place, through a circular action system. Collect and produce items for your caravan, or sell them to local heroes and hire them to accompany you. Influence market prices, visit vendors in the shadowy alleys, or explore a nearby dungeon in search of magical items to increase your wealth and reputation.
Gather lanterns to light your way on the dark roads and guide your caravan to the most remote villages. Deliver goods and heroes to their destinations and earn glory through your bravery! Balance your earnings and your notoriety, as your final score after several rounds will reflect the lower of these two values.
After all, what good is a purse full to bursting if no one sings your praises? And what good is singing if your mug is empty?
