Has saving humanity become a routine? Spice up the pandemic with new roles and events. Add a fifth player, try Legendary difficulty, or add an optional challenge: what if a disease is particularly nasty? Or if a fifth disease wreaks havoc? Or, even worse, if this fifth disease is spread by a hidden bio-terrorist? Can your team work together to cure the diseases in a world on the brink of disaster?
Pandemic: On the Brink is an expansion to our popular cooperative game, Pandemic, where players take on roles to work together to find the cure for 4 diseases. In this expansion, you will find six new roles (including the revised Operations Expert role and a bio-terrorist), eight new special events, and several challenge kits to add to the base game.
Virulent Strain Challenge: makes one disease unpredictably more deadly.
Mutation Challenge: adds a fifth disease (purple) that behaves differently from the original four diseases.
Bio-Terrorist Challenge: pits one player against the others. You can also play with 5 players and at a legendary level.
Also includes: 12 purple disease cubes, 12 smaller-sized pawns, petri dishes to store your diseases and tokens, and a notebook for the bio-terrorist to record their actions.
