Sniper Elite 3 follows American OSS agent Karl Fairburne on a mission in North Africa during World War II to support intelligence efforts and provide sniper skills to Allied forces in exotic, rugged, and open lands.
As part of his mission, Karl uncovers a secret tank program that, if realized, has the potential to crush any Allied force in its path and turn the tide of the war.
Focusing on player choice, Sniper Elite 3 offers nonlinear gameplay across various North African terrains such as mountain ranges and sprawling plains, allowing greater freedom of movement and the ability to take longer-range shots with customizable weapons.
Additionally, bustling cities and remote villages greatly aid in planning tactical moves. A brand-new vehicle kill-cam lets players take out armored cars and tanks, causing massive destruction with a single shot to the vehicles’ fuel tanks.
Moreover, the famous X-Ray Kill-Cam returns with enhanced graphical detail, including the circulatory system and muscle layers.
Sniper Elite 3 also features cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes. Co-op: up to two players can choose between Story Campaign, Overwatch, and the brand-new Survival mission. In Survival, players face an endurance challenge against everything the German Afrika Korps can throw at them.
Competitive multiplayer: five competitive action modes are featured: Deathmatch; Team Deathmatch; Distance King; Team Distance King; No Cross, which is Team Deathmatch with a twist – the two teams are separated with no risk of close-range surprise attacks.
Afrika Korps AI – The game includes a rebuilt AI system focusing on team roles and tactics, as well as clearer cues for engagement and detection. X-Ray Kill-Cam: this fan-favorite feature shows even more detail, including the circulatory system and muscle layers.
