Despite its name, the memory card adapter is compatible with PS1 and PS2 memory cards.
It connects to PS3 systems via USB and allows the use of physical memory cards with PSone Classics and PS2 Classics games downloaded from the PlayStation Store.
Additionally, you can use this device to transfer save data from a physical memory card to an internal memory card created on your PS3.
The reverse operation is also possible: by transferring data from a PS3 memory card to an old memory card, you can access your save data on PS2 or PS1 if you wish to play a game that you own in physical form on an older PlayStation model.
