Van Wilder (Ryan Reynolds) is a popular student who is in no hurry to finish his studies and graduate. In fact, after six years of partying at Coolidge College, his parents decided to stop paying his tuition fees, but Van Wilder doesn’t care: he just needs to find a way to fund himself and keep having fun.
Among his ideas to raise money are a topless tutoring service and other daring schemes, which only strengthen his status as the “campus kingpin.” A romance develops between Van and Gwen (Tara Reid), who is writing an investigative article about him for the student newspaper.
Through his antics, Van eventually starts to redeem himself and mature. But not before having plenty of chances to show the raunchy humor that teen movies like Bring It On and American Pie have popularized in recent years.
The most memorable scene notably involves injecting dog sperm into éclairs. While it’s not exactly an intellectual film, teenagers who aren’t too modest will enjoy this bawdy comedy set on a college campus.
